I have something to confess: I have a cat.
Or should I say: a cat has me?
I found him -or he found me?- in front of my door. I suspect him to have planned this maybe unfortunately definitive encounter days and days before… I saw him for the first time two months ago in my garden, trying to catch my attention with that specific tremolo song which only cats can do. I first ignored him, but one day, I couldn´t resist and had the unlucky idea to put a caressing hand on him, hoping to stop his miaaaou miaaaou.
This is when the Cat Astroff began…
(to be continued…)

Good morning, Contessine! Please to read your confessions and I hope to read more of them… I am not sure though who will give you the absolution… at least ME, if you don´t find any other generous soul to do it!
Cute and funny drawing, good humour!
Good Morning Astroff! You look great! And your name, sounds like Russian aristo-Cat-cy!!Your Dad the Devil and your Mum a Siberian Tiger? Or the contrary?
Anyway nice to meet you both here… it looks like a promise for great adventures!
Lovely drawing, Contessine! You know…I also have a confession. I am not alone here in this strange land. I thought I had this house to myself but I also share it with a cat. A very strange cat. It miaow miaows for me to feed him, and I had to hunt everywhere to find its food, without it giving me a clue as to where it was, and it has a strange habit; it will only drink from running water, so I had to leave the tap on all night! Nice to visit your new blog, and good luck with it!
Thank you for your nice comment, Kevin. I would like to know something: how was your hunting? Were you dressed in leopard skin, jumping and crawling, looking everywhere for a piece of cheese, trying to catch mouses hidden in too small holes or catching a fish with your teeth? It must have been really difficult for you to share your time with a lazy cat, and really funny for him…
I have a Cat Astroff too! only mine is not such pretty colors and has an ugly name as well. So I’m looking forward to more of the Cat Astroff tail, I mean tale.
Our cat-astrofe showed up two months before the last cat who had adopted us died. He sounded like a very loud child crying out in pain, and all day long every day. We tried throwing rocks at it (yes, we were very mean but it made no difference). And my boys even gave it the un-catlike name of Phil. And yet it came every day. Finally the old cat died one night and on top of it lay Phil, who had permanently adopted us.
Nice to see you by Contessine, Susan!
No wonder that this little devil Astroff found her, you know. In France we have a saying:
“Qui se ressemble s´assemble!”
Susan:
Thank you so much for your comment and sorry to answer so late, but my Cat Astroff had loged me out!
I could only reconnect today with the horrible reality, and tomorrow -if Cat wills! – I´ll tell you more about him…
By the way, Susan, be careful with Gladys, Astroff loves hen!
Serendipity helped me find you Contessine through Miki’s blogroll. I really wanted to say I was so glad you dropped by to comment and I thank you for that. I see the others have arrived here too and I don’t like missing out on all the fun. I have had a cat this year. Got it for the children but two of them were allergic to her. We all miss Minu but she has found a nice home despite all the tears. A lovely painting and story and I hope to read and see and hear from you more.
Kind Regards,
Michael Poocky
Nice to see you by Contessine, Michael!
I must laugh as I read your comment, do you know why? Because I call her always “Minou”!
I´ll tell you a girl´s secret: Contessine is my niece!
And her father, my brother, calls ME “Minou” too…
I had a cat too when I was a very small girl, and I called it “Caramel” because he ate caramels all the time.
Kevin loves this name so much that he made a song called “A Cat called Caramel”…
